Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress is well known for her roles in film and on television since the mid 1980s. She has received various honors, such as two Golden Globe Awards, and sixteen NAACP Image Award. Known for her work in film and television from the mid-80s onwards, she has received various accolades like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was raised by her aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Her birthplace was and raised in New York New York. Bassett, her sister and their mother relocated to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was just five. Their father split from the mother of their children. Bassett was a fan of James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still at high school and decided that she was an actor and wanted to do. Yale University New Haven Connecticut granted her a bachelor's degree (1980) which was in African American study, and an advanced degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a co-actor and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. the Yale School of Drama awarded a Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett back in the year 1980. She attended the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for students in 7th grade, Azalea Middle School for 8th and 9th grades as well as Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her lead parts, Ramonda, in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
